Modula will speed up order picking in Riga (Latvia)

A Riga-based online store of electrical goods and supplies opts for automation: in December, Italian Machinery Association will install a Modula Lift vertical storage system in its warehouse.

The picker no longer goes to the goods: instead, the lift itself brings the required tray to the access window, so there is no more wandering between racks. Orders will be picked noticeably faster, and picking errors will be kept to a minimum. The system keeps an electronic record of every item, so the risk of losses is virtually eliminated. And thanks to vertical storage all the way up to the ceiling, instead of an entire warehouse the store will need just one compact unit and a couple of racks.
